Many Mac users and businesses have older equipment they hate to throw out but have no current use for. Many good causes and schools need and would love to have some earlier Macs. Please use this thread to list equipment you wish to donate or is available. to request donations or tell us where Macs are needed. If you have questions about equipment listed or requested please use Private Messages for such discussion and please all those donating or requesting show valid emails to facilitate communication. Please DO NOT chit chat within the thread itself so that the maximum offers/requests remain visible. I will edit to that effect. Discussions/chit chat/ ideas about how and where should be conducted in the Staff Room Forum - this thread should ONLY be offers and requests Educators, "good cause" representatives please circulate.

Well, I've got something to give (what a great song lyric! ) I have a Quadra 610 with a PPC upgrade card. The complete kit includes monitor (13" colour), keyboard, mouse and system discs(7.6.1). It's all packed in original packaging and ready to go to a worthy cause. Everything works. The only reason I am getting rid of it is because I got a little PB1400 for my daughter, and this Quadra is simply surplus. I'm in Eastern Ontario (Napanee), so factor that in for shipping. Feel free to PM me if you wish to discuss further. BTW, great idea for a thread, Mac Doc!. P.S.: Found a person who uses these old 'puters for special needs kids. It's gone to a good home!

Hmm...
Hell, call me nostalgic or even foolish but I’ve hung on too long to my favourite old Mac games, manuals etc.
So, now what? I don’t want to just chuck ‘em out - although that’s probably the realistic approach - but maybe I can find a good home for some of these pseudo-gems. Many are for old MacPluses or II’s etc.
Anyone want ‘em, they’re free! Or, just flame me and tell me get a life. (My wife already has suggested a mass burial.) I’ll hang on to them for about a week.
Everything has original discs and manuals.
Games:
• Buried in Time: The Journeyman Project 2 (CD-ROM for 040’s or better; System 7.1 up) • Morpheus (CD-ROM for PowerMac’s, 7.5 or better) • The Pawn - on floppy so real old Mac • Guild of Thieves - on floppy • Bridge Baron - diskette - System 7 or better (not a bad bridge game - allows 2 over 1, weak 2’s, five-card majors etc.) • Balance of Power - for Mac 128k (!) on diskette • Balance of Power (the 1990 edition) - 512K, not compatible with Multifinder! • Bally Eight Ball Deluxe - pinball game; Mac II,LC, Quadra, SE/30; 6.0.7 or higher • Tristan Pinball - 6.0.7. (also runs on 7.0) • Sim Earth - for Mac Plus, SE, SE/30, LC, II, IIcx, IIci, IIx, IIfx; 6.0.2 or higher • Prince of Persia - Mac Plus, SE, Classic, SE/30, LC, II - System 7 or better • Persia of Persia 2, The Shadow and Flame - color mac and 6.0.7 or better • Crsytal Quest - I’m not sure here what it needs • Freak Show (a CD-ROM by the band, The Residents) - System 7
also free manuals for:
• Mac OS8 installation manual • Mac 7.5 upgrade guide • User’s guide for 7500 series • OS 8.6 Troubleshooting Guide • Now Utilities • QuickKeys • older Word version and more I can’t be bothered to even catalogue.
Email or call me at (416) 251-8853.

My nephew is moving off to college in the fall and I am giving him my old Power Mac 7600 to take with him. It has a 604 processor, a 4 or 8 Meg video card and about 384MB of RAM. Anyone have any stuff to donate that could be of use to him... maybe a SCSI burner, zip drive, legacy printer that prints well or any other item that may be of use. I would have no problem paying postage and a little thank you as well. Please PM me with any helpers. Thanks in advance.

Imagewriter Printer!! I came across my old Imagewriter printer while tidying up. It worked fine when I put it away, and it's built like a tank, so it's probably okay. The cable and power cord comes with it. Pay for shipping, or pick it up and it's yours!

Macs for Good Causes Several old Macs to donate. They were used primarily to retrieve e-mail and such. They're a bit slow, by G3+ standards, but they are web-ready (Ethernet card). Here is the partial list so far: Power PC 6100/60 (qty: 3+) LC 575 (qty: 1) and several other models. -2 or 3 monitors as well
"Special" Mac microphones (new) available, as well as numerous cables & odds and ends. I would hate to throw them in a landfill. My business is closing so I have to move them quickly (within 7 days). If anyone wants them, they're yours. But pickup is required (downtown Toronto). If interested, I can be reached at 416-323-9379 Thanks!

Looking for old mac stuff in London, ONT.
As a hobby i refurbish old macs and either give them away to families with small kids or sell them at cost if parts were needed. This way kids get exposed to macs, since many schools and families have gone to the windows monopoly i feel it's important to show them an alternative. Gord

I work for a Christian Counselling Ministry here in Orangeville - we could do with an Apple to prep our print work since designing on PC is producing some interesting results!!! Would prefer a G3 machine or higher - a Pismo Laptop would be heavenly... Email me if you can help: neonazarite@yahoo.ca

I have some old Macs and big monitors (one G3 and some preG3 ) that I would love to see in the hands of a low income families with no means to purchase a computer. Also old Ink jet and Image writer printer and various legally owned w/p and Quicken & old games software products that might be of use. I would feel more disposed to sit down and configure things for someone I could actually envisage using it rather than just dumping them on some truck. Any thoughts out there. I am in Burlington but would happily drive a bit to drop off.

Hi, I'm a student from Downtown Toronto.
I'm a windows user and I've been looking for a mac for a really long time. I really want to switch to mac and the prices to buy one just to try out are too much.
If you have any old macs that you can't bear to throw away, I am in need of one. I would be happy to pay shipping and possibly pay a little bit for your equipment. Hopefully I can become used to macs and join the Mac world ^_^
Thanks for your time :p
-Tony

I have a 7200/90 that I'm willing to give to a good cause. It has upgraded RAM (64MB) and drive (4.23GB unformatted capacity), a MacALLY keyboard, and Apple mouse. No monitor. I booted it this morning to make sure there was nothing of mine still lying about on disk and it seemed to be working just fine.
It's available for pickup in north/central Toronto.
(Seven (?) years ago, this was my main graphics system. He he, my, how times change.)

I have an Epson 850 Printer to give away. Was working fine 2-3 years ago. The ink Cartridges are still in there – hopefully it will work.
Will not work with OSX; but will work fine with OS 9 and lower.
You pick it up and it's yours.
(Toronto; Yonge + Lawrence area)
